I think the kitchen build is wonderful! So true to re-purposing already built cabinets and appliances instead of them going into the landfill. If you carry the measurements for the space just above the cabinets on the wall with you, you could add additional cabinets almost up to the ceiling. Knowing what will fit ahead will keep you from buying something that might not fit. This extra storage space will be great for additional food items, paper goods, cold weather clothing, extra blankets, etc. Things you need to store, but don't need to access all of the time.

Here from VanWives!! 💚 I would love and wish to have people in my life who are interested in this lifestyle and types of interests. I really, really, REALLY want to try off-grid homesteading and I know it’s not as easy as it may look but to at test it out….😢 And I know its obtainable the part that keeps me back is that I would have to leave a lot of close friends and family behind because of them just being so content with regular city life or having their personal reason why they can’t or just don’t want to. It sucks because my adventurous side is being muffled and suppressed to please others and of course we do not age backwards. The more I think about it the more I feel like my life sucks!🤦🏽‍♀️

Max, do you think a nice bookcase would work well in the living room alcove behind the chair? The shelves could have lights too, would look really nice at night, a cozy nook. The bottom of it under the shelves could have a cabinet providing more storage.

I would have thought that a ladder is far more dangerous than the steps you built for accessing the roof of the camper van. Whoever snitched is extremely poor as he/she won’t have a good relation with other people. What has he/she obtained from all this? I think that it was done out of ENVY.

Max have you thought about maybe putting a railing at the top so you could put the stairs back up. It was such a sad day when you had to dismantle those beautiful stairs. It’s just a thought would be nice to have your little breakfast nook back.❤

Mental health is real. I never experienced depression but i have experienced anxiety. Luckily it's not very serious and I managed to overcome it. My heart goes out to Lee for her tragic end and to Max to lose a loved someone. RIP Lee
